George V. Troilo was born in Philadelphia and moved to Delaware County in 1981 where he graduated from Upper Darby High School. He attended Villanova University and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in English and a minor in Criminal Justice. He is a cum laude graduate of the Widener University School of Law.
After graduating law school, George began a clerkship with the Honorable Nicholas D’Alessandro in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. He eventually started his own law firm, whereby he practiced in the following areas: Real Estate; Family Law; Civil Litigation; and Transactional Matters. Additionally, George sat as a Master ruling on Emergency Protection from Abuse cases in the City of Philadelphia.
In 2000, George obtained his Real Estate Broker’s License through the Real Estate Commission of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He launched the opening of a Real Estate/Investment firm and managed 10 licensed real estate agents in addition to handling the daily affairs of his private law practice.
In 2009, George took a position with the County of Delaware, Pennsylvania where he is the Director of Central Purchasing and Administrative Services, overseeing an approximately four hundred million ($400,000,000) dollar budget.
Mr. Troilo is an active member of both the Delaware County Bar Association and the state bar of Pennsylvania, sits on the Springfield Township Zoning Board, and is admitted to practice law before the Pennsylvania state and appellate courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
George lives in Springfield with his wife Sharon and their 4 children. He is active in his community and coaches girls’ and boys’ basketball. He is a former member of the CYO Board of the St. Anastasia School.
